EOFY 2026 is almost a wrap. A huge thank you to everyone who sent through their end of financial year information, answered our questions and helped us get everything finalised for another financial year.
We know EOFY can be a busy (and sometimes stressful) time, so we really appreciate your patience and quick responses while we worked through everything.
STP Finalisation Is Done for 2025/26
Single Touch Payroll (STP) finalisation reports have now been submitted to the ATO. This means your employees' income statements are now available through their myGov accounts, and your payroll information for the 2025/26 financial year has been reported to the ATO.
What Happens Next
We are currently preparing your TPAR, finalising reports and preparing quarterly BAS, so keep an eye on your inbox.
Key ATO Dates for July and August 2026
- 21 July — Monthly BAS and PAYGW lodgement and payment due
- 28 August — June 2026 quarterly BAS lodgement and payment due
- 28 August — TPAR lodgement
Payroll Reminder: Tax Tables Have Been Updated
Tax tables have been updated. If you process your own payroll, please make sure you check your employees' net pay figures — PAYGW has decreased, meaning take home pays might be slightly higher.
ATO Signals Its First-Year Payday Super Approach
Thank you for working with us to implement Payday Super. We have now started lodging everyone's super in accordance with their pay cycles.
The ATO has provided further insight into how it intends to administer Payday Super during the first year of operation. It has indicated that employers who are genuinely attempting to comply and pay super on a payday cycle will not be the focus of compliance activity, provided errors are corrected as soon as reasonably practicable.
However, the ATO has made it clear that employers who continue to pay superannuation quarterly after 1 July 2026 will be viewed differently — you will be considered medium risk, while employers with unpaid super beyond the current quarterly due dates will be considered high risk.
What's New With the Connectt Team?
We wanted to share with you that Marimar and Kat have taken some well-deserved time away on maternity leave to welcome their new babies. We are so excited for them and their families, and can't wait to welcome the newest members to the Connectt team.
While they are away, Rachel and Krystal will be looking after their accounts and making sure everything continues to run smoothly. We are committed to providing the same level of care and support you're used to, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
A Quick Scam Reminder for Australian Small Businesses
Unfortunately, scammers don't take a break for or after EOFY. A few reminders:
- Turn on multi-factor authentication
- Be cautious with unexpected emails or payment requests
- Always confirm changes to supplier bank details
- If something feels unusual, check before clicking or paying
When in doubt — ask first!
